About Me
Welcome to my site. My name is Anita Leny Monteiro. I am a proud 1st Generation Cape Verdean American. My family is from the islands of Cabo Verde, located off the west coast of Africa. I love learning new things which has lead me to experience many different things. I decided to start a website so that I can showcase myself, all the things I have done thus far in my life, and hopefully all the new things I will learn along the way. This website has been in the making in my head for the last four years, but as the years passed, I just wasn't able to get it off the ground for many reasons, particurlarly because I didn't know what to concentrate on. Many people have told me I need to get a website and expose my "talents" and knowledge. Thus, I figure let me take the plunge, create the site, and develop it from there.
So bare with me as this site takes off. I am and have done so many things, and that is the reason for the name of this site. I was born and raised in the United States, and love the United States, but because of my Cape Verdean ancestry I have had the privelage of being inspired by a beautiful culture and I'm proud to be a Cape Verdean. I don't consider myself talented. I could list all the things I have done or I am, but through time all that I have done will come out, but for now I leave you with a quote from Albert Einstein - “I have no special talents, I am just passionately curious.”
